SCIDIP-ES was a EU-funded infrastructure project for digital preservation in the area of e-Science. Its ambition is an upgrade of the CASPAR prototype (another EU-funded project) that will lead to a scaling and robust e-Infrastructure made from components to support digital preservation of all kinds of digital objects. The components shall provide persistent interfaces for earth observation data and other disciplines in a decentralized, asynchronous and heterogeneous way without a “single point of failure”.
